Cindy's Vision for Our Future

Communication: As Councillor I will keep you informed. E-mails and phone calls will be returned in a timely manner. When a major development is proposed, our councillor must keep our residents and businesses informed at every turn. I will keep the channels of communication open.

 

Development: Our ward is experiencing rapid growth. The new off-shore wind facility,  the major redevelopment at Lee Fort Terrace, and the massive development proposed for Shetland Office Park, will reshape our neighborhoods. Our shared concerns over traffic, noise, and other impacts on our neighborhoods must be at the heart of any public discussions. 

 

Public Spaces: Our streets, sidewalks, and seawalls are essential to our quality of life. Problems must be identified and quickly addressed for the safety of our residents and businesses. Our parks and beaches draw people from all over. We need to improve maintenance and invest in repairs to keep them safe and attractive for us all to enjoy.

 

Traffic:  Our streets are old and narrow, making travel and parking difficult. Speed is a major issue throughout our neighborhoods. I will work with the police and parking commissioner to enforce city regulations.
